AWA-099

Privacy policy

Last updated August 16, 2026

The short version

AWA-099 collects no personal data. There is no account, no sign-in, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking of any kind. The app has no server of its own, so there is nowhere your data could go. Everything below is the long way of saying that.

1. Who we are

AWA-099 is made and published by AYA MIM S.R.L., a limited liability company registered in Romania, operating the AWA48 brand ("we", "us"). For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we would be the data controller for any personal data the app processed. As described below, it processes none.

2. What we collect

Nothing. Specifically, the app does not collect, transmit or store on any server:

  • names, email addresses or any account identifiers,
  • device identifiers or advertising identifiers,
  • location data,
  • contacts, photos or files,
  • usage analytics or behavioural data,
  • crash reports tied to you or your device.

3. What stays on your device

The app stores a small amount of data locally on your device only: your quiz progress and streak, your settings (language, sound, haptics) and a cached note of whether your subscription is active. This data never leaves your device, is not accessible to us, and is deleted when you delete the app. If your device backs apps up (for example to iCloud), that backup is governed by your device vendor's terms, not by us.

4. Purchases

Subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) as the merchant of record. We never receive your payment details, billing address or card number. The app asks the store one question, whether your subscription is active, and remembers the answer on your device. Payments are governed by Apple's privacy policy or Google's privacy policy respectively.

5. Third parties and outbound links

The app embeds no third-party services. Facts in the app link to Wikipedia articles, which open in your browser outside the app; from that point the Wikimedia privacy policy applies. The app itself sends Wikipedia nothing about you.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR (and similar laws such as the CCPA) you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, portability and objection. Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to hand over, correct or erase; your progress can be erased by you at any time by deleting the app. You are still welcome to write to us with any privacy question, and you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. In Romania that is ANSPDCP (dataprotection.ro).

7. Children

The app is suitable for general audiences and collects no data from anyone, children included. Because there is no data collection, no parental consent mechanism is required; purchases are protected by the parental controls of the App Store and Google Play.

8. Security

The strongest security measure available is not holding your data in the first place, and that is the one we chose. The little the app stores locally is protected by your device's own sandboxing and encryption. Vulnerability reports are welcome at the address published in our security.txt.

9. Changes to this policy

If the app ever changes in a way that affects privacy, this page will change with it, with a new date at the top. A change that started collecting personal data would also be announced inside the app before it applied, never silently.
